Sandals for indigent School Pupils
This is the 21st century.
Yet, it will amaze you there are many primary school pupils who attend classes without sandals. Yes, they go barefoot to school every day.
We discovered at REBUILDERS FOUNDATION that 35% of pupils in many primary schools in villages located in Akwa Ibom go to school barefoot. This isn’t just unhealthy.
It also affects the self-esteem of these pupils. And when their self-esteem is affected, their ability to learn will be hindered.
Therefore, we have decided to solve this problem.
We want to raise the self-esteem of these pupils and avert the various dangers associated with children walking barefoot.
We are starting with two primary schools in Obot Akara LG, Akwa Ibom State.
With just a thousand Naira only (#1000/$2.5), we can restore one pupil’s self-esteem in school and increase his or her interest in learning.
Our target is 100 pupils for this first project this year 2021. And this makes the project cost amount to #100,000(One hundred thousand Naira only)/ $250.
‘Urgent #2k‘ /$5 can actually change the direction of the life of two pupils in these villages.
This project is one of the various ways we can redefine the future of our society.
No child should go to school barefoot. It’s a right.
Let’s put a smile on the face of these pupils and raise their self-esteem.
